Caribbean American Lawyers honor four at recent gala - expect to exceed monetary expectations
Briefly

The Caribbean American Lawyers Association (CALA) hosted its second annual awards dinner at El Caribe Country Club, attracting over 300 attendees and raising significant funds for its scholarship initiatives. The event celebrated four honorees for their dedicated service, including Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn. CALA aims to foster unity among Caribbean American lawyers while investing in the next generation through educational support. Last year's gala raised over $30,000 for scholarships, and this year’s event is expected to surpass that amount, highlighting CALA's commitment to empowering young legal professionals.
"At last year's event, we gave out more than $30,000 in scholarships to law students, as well as some high school and college students," Hinds-Radix said.
"We had more people at this gala, and I anticipate that we did even better monetarily that last year. I think it will end up exceeding our expectations."
