"Would you let someone who's never flown a plane tell you, 'I can fly that plane back to land' if they've never done it before? Do you give the keys to the governor's office to someone who hasn't done this before?"
On Monday, Trump held a press conference with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and made a number of unfounded claims about autism, blamed women for taking Tylenol during pregnancy, misrepresented the current vaccine schedule, and erroneously asserting that the Amish have no autism. Trump made a similar claim about Cuba. I will say there are parts of the world that don't take Tylenol, Trump said. I mean, there's a rumor, and I don't know if it's so or not, that Cuba they don't have Tylenol because they don't have the money for Tylenol. And they have virtually no autism. OK? Tell me about that one.

More and more people are looking to retire abroad in search of a different lifestyle and lower cost of living. As of August 2025, New York is home to approximately 563,400 veterans, representing about 3.6% of the state's adult population. While this percentage ranks 51st in the nation for veterans per capita, the figure still highlights a significant community of service members who live, work, and retire across the state. Veterans bring with them a wealth of experience and sacrifice, and for many, cannabis has become a vital resource for maintaining wellness in daily life.
Let's face it-life in the U.S. can feel like a treadmill that never stops. Between the rising cost of living, healthcare premiums that rival rent, and a culture built on overwork, more and more Americans are asking: "Is there a better way to live?" The answer? Yes-and it starts by looking beyond the borders. The dream of escaping the endless American grind-rising costs, stressful commutes, and minimal work-life balance-has led many to seek a better quality of life abroad.
There's more troubling news for the white-collar job market: wage growth is falling short of inflation. A Bankrate analysis used employment cost index and consumer price index data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics to look at how the gap between wage and salary growth and inflation has changed since 2021. The difference allowed Bankrate to identify the industries with better worker bargaining power. Financial activities and professional and business services fell on the wrong side of that divide. Wage growth falling behind inflation in those sectors adds to the bleak picture of the white-collar labor market.

"My father voted for Trump in 2016, even though I made it clear to him that he would try to get rid of Obamacare, which prevented insurance companies from discriminating against me as a recent survivor of stage 3 cancer. That wasn't enough for my dad. He voted for him anyway. Two years later, he left and divorced my mother after 48 years of marriage. Trump divided and ripped our family apart."
