Delta Air Lines experienced a significant recovery in its financial performance, posting record revenues of $15.5 billion for the second quarter, with pre-tax profits of $1.8 billion.

Delta Air Lines has rebranded its fare categories, phasing out the term basic economy, now called Delta Main Basic, to enhance customer clarity and choice.

"Delta, Korean and Air France-KLM are among the world's most prominent and best-managed airlines," Tawfiq Popatia, co-head of Onex Partners, said in a statement.

The luxury private aviation company recently underwent a sleek fleet modernization overhaul and has joined forces with Delta, offering hybrid travel options for convenience.

Delta flight crews followed procedures to evacuate the passenger cabin when flames in the tailpipe of one of the aircraft's two engines were observed.
