""We can now say that our network is not just built for our most loyal customers, but by them," said Paul Baldoni, Delta's senior vice president of network planning."
""Sardinia is one of the most beautiful, relaxing places I've ever been. I can definitely see why it's known as one of the rare Blue Zones.""
""It's a one-of-a-kind place, with both the charm of a bustling city and the relaxing beauty of sandy beaches," said Ben J., a Delta Cargo executive."
Delta will add nonstop service from JFK to Sardinia and Malta beginning in summer 2026. The destinations were chosen through a five-day Route Race in which SkyMiles members and employees cast nearly 150,000 ballots; members favored Sardinia while employees favored Malta, and both destinations were selected. Sardinia features turquoise coves, rugged cliffs, timeless villages and is one of the world’s five Blue Zones known for longevity linked to diet, walking and community. Malta offers UNESCO-listed Valletta, megalithic temples predating the pyramids and the postcard-blue Blue Lagoon alongside city charm and beaches.
