Richton Park police said the parent of a 10-year-old girl has been charged with child endangerment after the girl brought a loaded gun to school Wednesday.Police responded to Neil Armstrong Elementary, 5030 Imperial Drive, at about 8:30 a.m.Wednesday for a student with a gun, according to a news release.

A man who prosecutors say was with 13-year-old Adam Toledo on the morning the teen was slain was facing trial Wednesday on weapons charges, a proceeding poised to offer further glimpses into the early morning hours during which Toledo was shot and killed by a Chicago police officer.Ruben Roman, 23, is charged with three felony counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and one felony count of recklessly discharging a firearm, charges that are not related to Toledo's death but rather stem from his alleged actions while he was with the teen just before the shooting.

A Hingham school bus driver was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence while transporting a busload of students Thursday evening in Pembroke.Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene at 5:25 p.m. on Route 3 North after one of the passengers on the bus called to report that the driver was allegedly swerving in an out of lanes and had run a red light, State Police spokesman Dave Procopio confirmed in an email.
