Earlier this month, John Fogerty revisited his rich, rich past with the release of Legacy: the Creedence Clearwater Revival. Featuring 20 re-recorded CCR classics - including "Fortunate Son," "Bad Moon Rising," and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" - the album is very much about the iconic singer further cementing his place in music history. But the 80-year-old also isn't done forging his creative future, and as such, he'll be bringing Legacy on the road this fall.
Cursive have announced a new run of US shows in the Northeast and Midwest to wrap up the year. They're promising to play "choice cuts" from their most recent album, last year's Devourer, along with "each and every classic song you could hope to hear," and add, "expect to hear plenty from both The Ugly Organ and Domestica too." AJJ will open the shows in stripped down, duo formation (Sean Bonnette and Ben Gallaty), and you can see all dates below.
Minus The Bear are back after a seven-year hiatus to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their classic sophomore album Menos El Oso, with a new expanded reissue out and plans to perform the album in full on tour this fall. Before that though, they warmed up with a last-minute, very intimate hometown show at Seattle's 170-capacity Sunset Tavern on Saturday (8/23).
The expanded edition is out on October 10th via Legacy Recordings, and pre-orders are now available. Available in either 2xLP or 2xCD packaging, the reissue features the original John Cale-produced album newly remastered directly from the original 1/4-inch master tapes. It also includes Smith's 1975 RCA demo tape alongside four previously unreleased songs: "Distant Fingers," "The Hunter Gets Captured by The Game," and "Snowball." Stream the latter track below.
“Babylon,” roared McKellen, who was dressed in a snazzy white and green suit. “Where bricks of mortared diamonds tower/ Sailors lust and swagger, lazing in moon's beam/ Whose laser gaze penetrates this sparkling theatre.”
Nicks recently revealed that she's hard at work on her first new album in 14 years, beginning it after the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles this year. 'I have seven songs, and they are autobiographical, real stories where I'm not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life,' she shared. 'They are real stories of memories of mine, of fantastic men.'
