Darwin Nunez will undergo tests on a shoulder injury that has made the Liverpool forward a doubt for Tuesday's Champions League round of 16 first-leg clash against Real Madrid at Anfield.Nunez, 23, scored his first Premier League goal since before the World Cup to set Liverpool on course for a 2-0 win over Newcastle at St James' Park on Saturday -- a win which moves Jurgen Klopp's team up to eighth, six points behind fourth-placed Newcastle with a game in hand.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says Virgil van Dijk "looks absolutely ready" to make his return from injury against Newcastle United this weekend.Netherlands international Van Dijk has not played for Liverpool since sustaining a hamstring injury during the 3-1 loss to Brentford on January 2.
The 31-year-old's injury proved to be worse than initially feared, and he spent six weeks out of action prior to returning to the substitutes' bench for Monday's 2-0 win over Everton.

Newcastle United suffered a double blow at the weekend.Within the space of a few hours on Sunday, Eddie Howe's team were beaten in the club's first major final since 1999 and also saw Tottenham open up a four-point gap in the race to claim the fourth and final Champions League spot.
