A fire broke out at Exeter City's St James' Park in the St James Road and Well Street corner, damaging a temporary building that houses the stadium control room. The blaze involved an electrical consumer unit and spread to an adjacent portacabin and outside storage area, with around 60% of the portacabin damaged and electrical cupboards and intake affected. More than five fire crews attended after an alarm just after 10pm and used breathing apparatus, hoses, rescue equipment, ventilation fans and thermal imaging cameras to extinguish the fire shortly after midnight. The club will assess damage and investigate further. Former Scotland international Gary Caldwell is the Grecians' manager.
