The 2025 Men's Elite UCI Downhill season was one of legend. With Jackson Goldstone returning to his first full season of racing after injury, he and Loic Bruni duked it out all season long. The year was not without heated competition, but there were plenty of wild moments, and race runs that didn't revolve around the two favorites. Amaury Pierron showed up to put down a blistering run in Switzerland after a close second in Loudenvielle, France.
Kullamannen by UTMB - Mölle, Sweden The event is named after a legend of local folklore, and the races took place on mostly flat trails around the country's southern coast. Ultra 100 Mile The long course went for 107 miles but with only 7,545 feet of elevation gain. Christian Malmström (Sweden) and Hanna Aho (Sweden) won in 16:18 and 17:59. Malmström was fourth here last year, and Aho was fourth here in 2023.
"That is the fastest 'half' I've run this year, and I feel there's still a lot more in the body," said the 32-year-old Kilkee engineer, who now lives in Galway. "It's a big confidence boost heading into the Dublin Marathon next month."
“I don’t think I did anything wrong,” Del Toro said in Rome. “Richard had to protect his second place and so marked me closely. He said I should have worked with him but if I'd worked with him, he would have attacked me and could have gained time on me.”
