Kenzie, our Queen of Hearts, brings confidence, affection and just the right amount of sass. She enjoys toys, walks, sunbathing and quality time with her people. Playful yet snuggly, she thrives when she can be the star of the show. Kenzie has been in our shelter for 470 days, and she's hoping this holiday season brings her the family she's been waiting for.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will host a "Home For The Holidays" pet adoption event at Dodger Stadium Dec. 14, opening the opportunity for Dodger fans touring home a dog from a local animal shelter. The event is set to take place from 9:00 a.m. PT to 1:00 p.m. PT. The event is open to the public and will not require a ticket nor an RSVP.
They don't need a lot of supplies. The basic setup is hay (choose a brand like Timothy hay, which helps their digestive system), pellets, a tunnel to hide in and a good-sized cage. They set a good example by eating their vegetables. Guinea pigs cannot produce vitamin C, so feeding them lots of high-quality greens and veggies high in vitamin C is critical for them to stay healthy.
We tried to work with many different animal shelters and rescues, but it just did not work out for us to go that route. We also did a lot of research on getting a dog from reputable breeders, but we couldn't afford any of them. We ended up purchasing a dog from what some would call a backyard breeder. She was a lovely woman, with beautiful, healthy puppies and reasonable prices.
