More than almost anyone else in Washington, Nancy Pelosi earned the right to consider herself indispensable. As speaker of the House - the first woman to hold that title - she was masterful at holding a fractious and heterogenous Democratic coalition together. Without her, we probably wouldn't have the Affordable Care Act. She regularly showed excellent judgment, including on the Iraq War, which she was one of few leading Democrats to vote against.

Both are decades younger than Pelosi, and now could be among the continued wave of generational change within the Democratic Party - similar to how U.S. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) announced his retirement in September and is likely to be succeeded by one of the numerous younger candidates who have launched bids.

In contrast, the poor Oracle of Omaha has only managed a 282% cumulative return for ( Berkshire HathawayNYSE:BRK-A)( NYSE:BRK-B) during that same period - better than the benchmark index, but it's no contest: Buffett is no Pelosi.

The former head of the FBI [James Comey] has been accused of lying to Congress. There's one point I want to make, she said. And that is that there is nobody who has lied more to Congress than Donald Trump, and that's why I tore up his speech because it was a manifesto of lies. And I said that at the time. So it's so cute almost that he's accusing somebody of lying to Congress.

That is something I'm working for at the national level, and we are hoping we can have gender-affirming care for our trans kids.
