Port Vale have appointed former Northampton Town boss Jon Brady as their new manager on an 18-month contract. The 50-year-old Australian replaces Darren Moore, who was sacked on 28 December after a run of seven defeats in nine games left the League One side bottom of the table, 10 points adrift of safety. Brady, who resigned as Cobblers manager just over a year ago, has the task of trying to keep Vale, with just four wins from 23 games this season, in the third tier.
West Ham are set to appoint Rita Guarino as their women's team manager following the sacking of Rehanne Skinner. The Italian, who picked up 99 caps for her national team as a player, has not yet managed outside of Italy. She was most recently in charge of Inter Milan between 2021 and 2024, having previously led Juventus to four successive Serie A titles.
"I think that we've had a great start and now it is up to us to continue," said Eckert. "We go all in; there is no other way. I don't shy away from being ambitious to say that we want to play for promotion, whatever that is going to look like in the end. We will go for every single point there is to take."
"I'm really looking forward to being part of this amazing football club. We want to win, we need wins because we want to turn around the position at the moment," Rohl said during his unveiling. "I am looking for an ambitious club, a club that is wanting more. This club has everything for all these goals. My job is clear. My focus is on my person, what I can bring to this football club."
"It's a huge honour and a privilege to be named Luton Town manager. "It feels like a full-circle moment for me. I was eight when I first came to Luton as a boy, so I guess you could say it's fate that my first full-time club managerial position is at this club. "I couldn't be more delighted to be here - I can't wait to manage this football club."
