Pereira, 57, was most recently in the Premier League with Wolves, where he was sacked in November. He had preserved his previous club's top-flight status last season. Forest sit 17th in the table, three points above the relegation zone. Pereira is the fourth Forest manager this season, after Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou and Sean Dyche.
