It's been a pleasure working with you for the past three years you've shown compassion, you've shown an effort to make our community a little bit better, said Sunnyvale Mayor Larry Klein to Mehlinger at Tuesday's meeting. I look forward to the partnership.
For the next few months, Kenworthy and the 'Flowers' singer proceeded to exchange flirty texts. 'Miley Cyrus was my own Rose, this famous person that I was suddenly linked to, and as much as I kind of wanted it-because that's the person you would want to be with if you're straight, someone successful and beautiful and talented-it's not the same as when you're with a guy,' he said.
"I don't know if I should say this or not, but I know that the internet had this big thing that went on about... that this is really, like, a lesbian love story," she said. "I'm just wondering why Disney didn't wanna follow up with the number two, 'cause 100%, it seems like it would've gone in a great direction for the sequel."
Robbie G.K. (Robbie Graham-Kuntz), from the wildly popular hockey romance series Heated Rivalry, was in the house, seated in the lower bowl with his friends. Robbie plays the character Kip Grady, a history-loving smoothie shop barista, in the show. "Hey, what's up Canucks fans? It's Robbie GK here. You might recognize me from Kip from the show, 'Heated Rivalry.' I am clearly here at the Canucks game for Pride Night. Very happy to be here and support this great event and go, Canucks! Go!"
The hit ice hockey romance is based on Rachel Reid's steamy novel, which is widely sold out. Like the book, the show follows the rivals-to-lovers story of Ilya Rozanov ( Connor Storrie) and Shane Hollander ( Hudson Williams). On the ice, they're fierce rivals, but their connection is just as passionate - in a different way - in private. Here are just some of the major changes that were made from the book to the screen:
Romantic Relationships Get Defined Any single person knows that the struggle of dating involves perpetually undefined relationships. Emotional detachment has been embedded in modern dating, from the language we use to the (loose, barely existent) script that guides how people enter romantic relationships. Even saying "dating" feels like a commitment. Instead, people "talk" when they're first getting to know each other; they "go out," but they don't "go on a date."
Wrestling gave me everything. It broke me. Built me. Tested me. Somehow still made me fall in love with it again. 2025 wasn't about being showcased. It was about going back to the indies, back to the grind, back to the reason I started -and remembering exactly who the hell I am.
Heated Rivalry is becoming such a global sensation, Russian fans are defying the country's LGBTQ+ propaganda laws just to watch it. The Canadian romantic sports drama series has quickly become one of the biggest television sensations since its release in November. Based on an instalment of author Rachel Reid's Game Changers series, the show follows two rival professional hockey players as they develop feelings for one another and enjoy a multi-year-long secret love story.
"It's been an interesting mix of reactions!" Locci told Outsports. "We've had a lot of support, with people saying the kiss warmed their hearts, that they were so happy for us or that they needed to see that, especially after this last year." Locci, a physical therapist on Broadway shows, also runs a personal training company focused on LGBTQ+ health and wellness.
He was on to something. He got me here. He was part of it. I was this artist, sissy boy in West Texas that didn't want to play football. I wanted to play pretend and play dress up and disappear into weird worlds and entertain and try to connect with people that way, and that was just not the norm out there.
Anyone who has watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas will know that before he became the OG king of Bah Humbug and Whoville's most irascible resident, The Grinch was raised as part of a loving family. The beloved anti-hero, played by Jim Carrey, arrives outside the house of Clair Nella Who (Mindy Sterling) and Rose Who (Rachel Winfree) via Dr. Suess invention the pumbersella, getting caught up in the tree growing beside it.
Among those who responded to Younger's assertion that Netflix is full of "gay porn" (we can't see any) was one person who wrote, "now you know how I feel when I'm subjected to watching heterosexual couples kiss on any TV programme." To that, Younger replied: "Heterosexuality is normal. Gay isn't." Someone else added: "'Porn' is overstating it a *bit* much," to which Younger cited " Mr. Robot, S1E3" as evidence (despite the fact the Rami Malek-fronted show originally aired on USA Network during its original run from 2015-2019).
"This is my community," he says, noting that he grew up and went to school within the boundaries of the new district and that the restaurant he opened nine years ago, Laziz Kitchen, is there too - on Harvey Milk Boulevard; he advocated for the renaming as a member of the City Council. (A Republican state lawmaker wants to rename it again - for Charlie Kirk.)
But Heated Rivalry's third episode, "Hunter," is a lovely stand-alone installment and stealthily a canny move for the series overall. It's a very swoony, romantic speedrun through Scott Hunter's backstory, but it's just as effective as a way to reframe and contextualize the entire series, as well as a strategy for addressing Heated Rivalry 's biggest challenge: It's a TV show with no interior monologue.
McTavish sat down with IndieWire to discuss his most recent role, and what sets it apart from all the rest. The new 'Spartacus' series is a sequel to the original 'Spartacus,' and explores an alternate path where the gladiator Ashur did not die at the end of 'Spartacus: Vengeance.' McTavish stars as Korris, alongside Nick Tarabay's Ashur and Tenika Davis' Achillia. He opens up about playing his first gay character, the intense gladiator workout regime, and why one intimacy coordinator was not enough on set.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion, the comic company's new homage to its classic beat 'em up video games of the past, features the surprising inclusion of a lesser-known queer character. A 90-second trailer dropped alongside the game itself on Monday (1 December), offering fans a frantic first look at what's in store for gamers. Developed by Tribute Games, Marvel Cosmic Invasion sees 15 Marvel superheroes traverse a plethora of locations from the comics as they attempt to thwart an oncoming invasion by the interdimensional insectoid Annihilus.
Both Williams and Storrie have become overnight sensations thanks to their roles as rival ice hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov respectively in the new sports romance series, which premiered on Friday 28 November. Owing to the pair's undeniable chemistry both on and off screen - and some very steamy sex scenes - the duo have become the latest infatuation of the thirstiest corner of Gay Twitter.
First, there's Will longing as he happens upon Robin ( Maya Hawke) kissing her girlfriend, Vickie (Amybeth McNulty). Later on, while on a mission, Robin, who is seemingly not completely out to everyone, hints that she saw Will. "[Vicky's] my friend, we're friends, good friends. But the thing is some people might not understand our friendship" explains Robin asking Will to keep it to himself.
Here's my theory why Avatar has no cultural impact even though they are the biggest selling films of all time. Gays cannot give a f**k about Avatar,
