Join the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation to celebrate the 2026 Hearts in San Francisco that support excellence in patient care and innovation at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. Each year, the Foundation commissions one-of-a-kind heart sculptures created by local artists. After the sculptures are displayed in San Francisco for the public to enjoy, each is auctioned in support of ZSFG.

The Ferry Building is gaining another new spot in Lucania, a southern Italian restaurant from the team. On top of the expected pizzas and pastas, they're also focused on seafood like roasted sardines, steamed mussels, and more. Plus, Lucania is taking over the former MarketBar space, so we're hoping the former patio will become another great spot to people-watch along the Embarcadero.

Hayati, a Mediterranean restaurant from restaurateur Kaïs Bouzidi, is set to open in the former Boulettes Larder space by the summer of 2026, according to a news release. Bouzidi is the brains behind nearby restaurants Sens, Barcha and Bon Delire. While the restaurant concept is "still in development," Bouzidi has signed a lease for the famed Suite 48, the news release said.

The bakery and cafe comes from the team, so it's no surprise that everything here is a hit. Right now there's a four-item per person limit, so prioritize the laminated vanilla-passion fruit cube, which pulls apart like cotton candy to reveal white chocolate-vanilla crémeux and passion fruit, and the roasted banana-pecan croissant, bursting with praline filling that teeters on the edge of too sweet.

Red Bay Coffee, based in Oakland, offers a variety of well-crafted caffeinated beverages at their Ferry Building location, including pour-overs and turmeric lattes.

Arquet is set to open at the former Slanted Door in the Ferry Building, offering full-service dinner and a bakery named Parachute.
