Each year, the Foundation commissions one-of-a-kind heart sculptures created by local artists. After the sculptures are displayed in San Francisco for the public to enjoy, each is auctioned in support of ZSFG.
The Ferry Building is gaining another new spot in Lucania, a southern Italian restaurant from the team. On top of the expected pizzas and pastas, they're also focused on seafood like roasted sardines, steamed mussels, and more. Plus, Lucania is taking over the former MarketBar space, so we're hoping the former patio will become another great spot to people-watch along the Embarcadero.
Hayati, a Mediterranean restaurant from restaurateur Kaïs Bouzidi, is set to open in the former Boulettes Larder space by the summer of 2026, according to a news release. Bouzidi is the brains behind nearby restaurants Sens, Barcha and Bon Delire. While the restaurant concept is "still in development," Bouzidi has signed a lease for the famed Suite 48, the news release said.
