Foster City is experiencing significant disruptions to services due to a cyberattack, with email and phone systems still down after six days.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Monday that the city plans to reopen public schools for in-person learning on Tuesday, but emphasized that the decision is not final and depends on overnight weather conditions following the city's most significant snowstorm in years. That is our hope, and that's what we're planning for right now, Mamdani said during a lengthy Jan. 26 press conference, cautioning that refreezing temperatures overnight remain the biggest variable.
