He wears a 'C' for a reason. He's an important part of this team, of this organization. He cares about winning, he cares about his teammates and I think when you're a team like ours that is looking forward to an opportunity to compete for a championship, you just don't get rid of guys like that.
The Atlanta Braves had one of the more unfortunate seasons in recent memory, especially with regard to injuries to their rotation. In fact, there was a point where all five members of the Opening Day rotation were on the Injured List at the same time. This resulted in quite a few roster moves to bring in pitchers to eat some innings, especially after it was pretty much a done deal that the season was effectively over. Erick Fedde was one of these moves, and worked out (or didn't) just as much as you'd expect.
Dubois left the game late in the first period, going down after a faceoff with Islanders centerman Jean-Gabriel Pageau. Pageau appeared to drive Dubois to the ice with his stick, buckling his knees. The 27-year-old forward needed assistance to get off the ice and did not return for the rest of the 3-1 loss. "He'll be re-evaluated tomorrow," head coach Spencer Carbery said postgame.

During a 31-6 loss to the Browns in Week 7, TE Darren Waller suffered a pectoral injury. On Wednesday, October 22, Miami announced that Darren Waller has been placed on the IR. Not ideal for a Dolphins offense that is struggling to pass the ball. Waller will miss at least the next four games due to injury.
The New York Giants cut kicker Jude McAtamney on Tuesday in the aftermath of him missing two extra points in their stunning 33-32 loss at Denver. McAtamney was waived as one of a series of roster moves that also included the team bringing back rookie cornerback Korie Black. Parting ways with McAtamney paves the way for Younghoe Koo, who has been on the practice squad, to make his Giants debut on Sunday at reigning champion Philadelphia
CLEVELAND - Miami Dolphins linebacker Tyrel Dodson cleared concussion protocol and will be available for Sunday's game against the Browns in Cleveland. The Dolphins, as they traveled Saturday, removed Dodson from the team's injury report. Coach Mike McDaniel said Friday he was "hopeful and confident" Dodson would clear the NFL's five-step protocol to return to play from a concussion before the game, but Friday came and went without such a development. Miami's middle linebacker suffered the concussion in the Oct. 5 loss to the Carolina Panthers and missed last week's home defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Mukhamadullin's injury, and those to John Klingberg (lower body) and Timothy Liljegren (upper body), will thrust Vincent Iirio into the Sharks' lineup on Friday, one day after he was claimed off waivers from the Washington Capitals. Rookie Sam Dickinson will also dress on Friday, marking his third straight game. Iorio, listed at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, has one assist in nine career NHL games. SAN JOSE Michael Misa's brief wait to make his NHL debut with the San Jose Sharks will be coming to an end. Misa will play in his first NHL game on Tuesday when the Sharks host the Carolina Hurricanes to close out their season-opening three-game homestand, coach Ryan Warsofksy confirmed. The Sharks juggled their lines for Monday's practice, and Misa, a center, skated on the Sharks' third line with wingers Ty Dellandrea and Philipp Kurashev.
