Both placements are retroactive to April 12th. Right-hander Jayden Murray has been optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land. In response, Houston has recalled left-hander Colton Gordon and right-hander/infielder/outfielder Shay Whitcomb. An exception allows France to be recalled sooner than the usual 15-day wait due to the IL placements.
