Netflix is launching a new feature called "moments" on its mobile app that allows users to clip and share short videos from their favorite shows, increasing user engagement and promotional content.
The company stated that "With Moments, members can quickly bookmark a scene while watching on their phone, saving it directly to their My Netflix tab for easy access later.”
While this feature returns a sense of a personal library to users, traditional screenshotting will still be restricted, demonstrating that Netflix is selectively allowing content sharing.
To promote this feature, Netflix released an ad featuring Giancarlo Esposito, Cardi B, and Simone Biles, highlighting the fun and vibrant engagement possibilities of the new 'moments' feature.
