Briefly

For me, the lowest point in my career was the highest point - when I took out that $50,000 cash advance that required no personal guarantee to turn my business around. I was all out of f**** to give. I just didn't care anymore. This moment made me realize the importance of addressing and learning from tough situations instead of solely focusing on successes.
I was almost exclusively motivated by fear for most of my career. Although that fear drove me to achieve certain goals, it was ultimately the moments of vulnerability that reshaped my understanding of success and growth.
If I become a better coach, a better consultant or a better media personality, it's rooted in empathy; it's rooted in vulnerability. My struggles have allowed me to connect with others on a deeper level, ultimately enhancing my ability to help those in the restaurant industry.
Through the global reach of digital media, I've had a chance to be vulnerable with millions of people. Sharing my experiences on the FULL COMP podcast has allowed me to ask tough questions and share my battle scars, which is my way of helping elevate the restaurant industry.
