Stephen J. Lyons' op-ed "The kids are not OK" (Feb.25) names many valid reasons for why so many teens are suffering from anxiety, depression and suicidal impulses.I'd like to add one more possibility: addiction.Namely, addiction to phones and social media.This was already a problem before the pandemic hit, but once it did, phones and screen time remained the only way for teens to keep their all-important social connections.
