The incident occurred at approximately 11.15am when both individuals were struck by a car, leading to the tragic death of a man in his 90s and serious injuries to a woman in her 60s.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and are particularly interested in pedestrians or road users who may have camera footage during the time frame of the incident.
