The two were essential in bringing the Rossoneri back from the ruins, eventually winning the Scudetto with the team in the 2021-22 season. In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Kjaer said that he's happy as Milan are 'back to being Milan'. However, when asked about why the Rossoneri struggled so much especially last season, the Dane didn't want to say more than that there have been 'too many changes'.
