Kiefer Sutherland was arrested in Hollywood early Monday morning after allegedly assaulting his ride-share driver, NBC News reports. The Emmy-winning star of 24 was detained around 12:15 AM in Hollywood near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue. "The investigation determined that the suspect, later identified as Kiefer Sutherland, entered a rideshare vehicle, physically assaulted the driver (the victim), and made criminal threats toward the victim," LAPD officer Kevin Terzes said.
As anyone who's ever put together a trip budget knows, daily expenses like rideshares, train fare, and refreshments can quickly add up to a staggering final cost. So it's worth making a habit of every little thing you can do to save cash while traveling. But according to a new study, most Uber and Lyft users skip a seconds-long step that could save them on every ride.
Rideshare is my side hustle. I grew up on Kauai, Hawaii, and spent years on the US mainland. In 2017, I moved to Honolulu. Tourism is a big industry here, and there are plenty of rides to take.
The commercial auto insurance industry has long struggled to adapt to the rapidly evolving on-demand economy, leaving millions of rideshare and delivery drivers underserved by traditional providers that weren't designed for their unique needs.
"Drivers are running on fumes, feeling exploited, while passengers are frustrated by surge pricing and a lack of transparency. It became clear: The rideshare industry needs a fundamental shift towards fairness for everyone involved."
