According to its extended range forecast, Met Éireann said low pressure in northern parts of Europe will lead to "wetter than average" rainfall with "above normal" temperatures for this time of year. As for the remainder of this week, it is set to turn "unsettled" with spells of rain. Today has begun very chilly, but dry, in many parts with the arrival of clear, sunny spells in the later morning and early afternoon.
