It is alleged that Mr Zhyvytskyi suffered a stab wound to the chest during an altercation in Knapp's Square in Cork city at 7.50pm on March 16. He managed to make his way to his nearby home where he was later pronounced dead.

This has been a deeply upsetting incident which has caused a great deal of shock to the local community. Jeff Blair was killed after being assaulted in County Durham. Our thoughts are with Jeff's family and all those who knew and loved him at this difficult time. Based on the preliminary investigation, the motive is believed to be a dispute between the suspect and the victim over a mutual female acquaintance. Detectives are continuing this investigation to gain more insight, as well as to collect and analyze evidence.

Three 16-year-old boys have been charged in connection with the murder of a teenager in Feltham. The boys from Hounslow, who cannot be named because of their age, were charged on Friday, 13 February. He has been remanded into custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 17 February.

Lee was arrested and taken into custody in Hamilton County, Tennessee, after deputies were called to a medical emergency where first responders were giving a woman CPR. The medics were unable to save her. The name of the woman, who was Lee's girlfriend, has not been released and local police said her death was being treated as a homicide. Lee was also charged with tampering with evidence.

William Stevenson, 77, was taken into custody on Monday and is facing a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Linda Stevenson, according to a grand jury indictment filed in Delaware. On 28 December 2025, officers from the New Castle county division of police responded to a reported domestic dispute at the Stevensons' home, where they found Linda unresponsive in the living room.

The ex-husband of former first lady Jill Biden was charged in his wife's murder on Tuesday, more than a month after she was found dead on her living room floor in their Delaware home. Linda Stevenson, 64, had been found unresponsive in the living room in late December by police responding to a domestic dispute call and was pronounced dead, authorities said at the time.

Police described the Oakland shooting as a gangland assassination, where three cars pulled up with four gunmen inside, who opened fire and killed 24-year-old Bert Brigham III. In federal court Friday, Mangione's attorneys argued that Altoona police overstepped by reading a journal in Mangione's backpack at the time of his arrest. Two men have been charged with murder after the death in prison of the former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins. Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43, have both been charged with murder and will appear before Leeds magistrates' court on Monday morning, West Yorkshire police said. Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences including the attempted rape of a baby.
