1964 - The Mets purchase Warren Spahn from the Milwaukee Braves. Spahn will serve as part of New York's coaching staff and will put up a 4-12 record before he is released. Spahn will then sign with the San Francisco Giants. 1998 - The Braves and outfielder Brian Jordan agree on a five-year deal. 2013 - The Yankees agree to a five-year, $85 million contract with former Braves catcher Brian McCann.
