"This game is a business. Sometimes you learn that the hard way. Sometimes you learn that the easy way. I think it's important to understand that. It does put a little bit of a chip on your shoulder. All 30 teams had a chance to grab me. Luckily, the Dodgers held on to me to this point."
"It gives you more motivation and makes you want to be successful. You see the guys in this locker room and how successful a lot of them are. Them winning two championships in a row and some of them having even more shows how much they value winning here in this organization. It's why a lot of people want to come here and play."
Michael Siani experienced significant roster movement during the offseason, beginning with the St. Louis Cardinals before being claimed by the Atlanta Braves in November 2025. After approximately one month, the Braves designated him for assignment to sign Mike Yastrzemski. The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed Siani off waivers but designated him a month later to make room for Kyle Tucker. The New York Yankees then claimed him, only to designate him again after acquiring Angel Chivili. The Dodgers reclaimed Siani and retained him. Siani acknowledges baseball's business nature and views his journey as motivation to succeed in Spring Training with the Dodgers organization.
