In 2035, AIs are more than co-pilots in medicine, they have become the frontline for much primary care. Gone is the early morning scramble to get through to a harassed GP receptionist for help. Patients now contact their doctor's AI to explain their ailments. It quickly cross-checks the information against the patient's medical history and provides a pre-diagnosis, putting the human GP in a position to decide what to do next.

On Monday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed and vetoed the last of a slew of bills passed by the state legislature this year. Out of nearly a thousand measures awaiting his signature, Newsom signed 794 into law and vetoed 123. About the same ratio applied to bills designed to shore up state protections for transgender rights and the LGBTQ+ community, as the Trump administration's crusade against LGBTQ+ identity presses on.

The subpoenas demanded extensive records including 'letters, emails, texts, social media posts, phone conversations, transcripts, videos, and even calendar entries.'

Now, doctors are working to anonymize that process by pushing to hide the name of the prescriber from the labels of mifepristone and misoprostol - the two drugs used in medication abortions.
