Similar efforts have occurred in other states, with Kentucky's AG attempting to use subpoenas to acquire records from abortion providers, though blocked by the courts.
The subpoenas demanded extensive records including 'letters, emails, texts, social media posts, phone conversations, transcripts, videos, and even calendar entries.'
Briana Perry noted that the Attorney General's office had previously used intimidation tactics, highlighting a past subpoena that violated patient trust.
