Last time I played there, obviously it was a traumatic experience for me. I'm not like thrilled to go back and play there. It's going to have to be this Thursday, I'm not thrilled about it.
It means a lot because I've been to Madison Square Garden before as a fighter, so being able to come here as a promoter and give everybody the platform that I had myself and now to be able to offer that platform for other athletes, because I know how much it meant to me, it really means something special.

The New York Knicks have decided against hanging a banner at Madison Square Garden for winning the NBA Cup, sources tell ESPN's Shams Charania. Although Knicks head coach Mike Brown intimated a banner would go up, a decision was made against it shortly after the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday night. The last two winners, the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks, have banners in their respective arenas. The Knicks haven't hung a team banner since winning the Eastern Conference in 1999.

The Rangers rebounded nicely against Montreal with a nice come from behind win against the Canadiens at MSG, hopefully shaking that curse off the Centennial jerseys. But that's not the story. The story is Chris Kreider's return to MSG for the first time since his offseason trade. Kreider was easily the best clutch playoff performer in Rangers history, and was perhaps underappreciated during his 12 seasons on Broadway. There should be a nice video tribute and hopefully a standing ovation.
