Knicks playoff watch parties raise over $360,000 for MSG's Garden of Dreams Foundation | amNewYork
The New York Knicks have raised more than $360,000 for the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which partners with the MSG family to create life-changing opportunities for young people. During the current playoff run, watch parties at Madison Square Garden have charged $10 for tickets, with proceeds benefiting the foundation. Youth from the foundation have performed the National Anthem at indoor watch parties. Since 2006, the foundation has positively impacted more than 480,000 young people facing obstacles. Fans have also interacted with Knicks alums including Marcus Camby, Latrell Sprewell, John Starks, and Kurt Thomas. Additional watch parties are planned for the Eastern Conference finals, including game three at Madison Square Garden, with giveaways, contests, and photo opportunities, and a possible event at Brooklyn Bowl.
"The Knicks have hosted watch parties for the first two rounds of the postseason, allowing fans of all ages to root for the team alongside former players. With the Eastern Conference finals underway, the Knicks will be hosting another watch party for game three at Madison Square Garden. Select team alums will be in attendance, and there will also be giveaways, contests, and photo opportunities for fans to participate in. Optionally, there will be another watch party at Brookly Bowl, the No. 1-ranked busiest club in the five boroughs."
