The Apple 13" MacBook Air M4 came out in 2025 and is a startlingly good device for this price. In fact, ZDNET editor Kyle Kucharski wrote that although he's a Windows user, the "MacBook Air M4 could be [his] new main driver." Though it's not equipped with the latest processor like the MacBook Pro M5, the 13" M4 is remarkably lightweight and portable, and ZDNET writer Prakhar Khanna found that the M4 "doesn't sacrifice battery life to achieve its 1.24kg form factor."

It's almost the end of the year, and with Black Friday upon us, it's a great time to buy a laptop. I've sorted through the junk to find the best Black Friday laptop deals, and I'm happy to report that most of my favorite laptops I tested this year are on sale right now. Even better, some laptops I thought were overpriced at launch now have such steep discounts that they've risen in value in my estimation.

The M-series laptops have proven to be winners, and while it's not the latest and greatest, the M4 MacBook Air 13 is a great deal at €795. Sure, 256GB storage is admittedly small for a laptop. If you want the adequate 512GB, you'll have to shell out another €230. The iPad Air 11 (2025) is also on offer, for €515. This gets you the baseline 128GB of storage, while the more capable 256GB option costs €639.
