A pedestrian has died after being struck by a truck in Etobicoke Thursday morning, said Toronto police. Officers responded to a collision near Islington Avenue and Dixon Road around 9:08 a.m. on Thursday, police said on social media. They said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the site and the driver remained on scene. Residents are being asked to consider alternate routes due to closures at Islington Avenue and Dixon Road.
A man has been charged for two alleged sexual assaults at massage clinics in Etobicoke, police said in a news release Saturday. Investigators say one incident took place in November 2018 at a massage clinic near Lake Shore Boulevard W. and Thirtieth St., and the other incident in July 2025 near Lake Shore Boulevard W. and Thirty Third St. Both times, the victim was assaulted while receiving a massage, police allege. Toronto police say they have charged the man with two counts of sexual assault.
Thieves left an unusual deposit at an Etobicoke bank while attempting an illegal withdrawal Monday morning. Around 3 a.m., officers were called to a break and enter in progress at a CIBC branch, Toronto police said in an email. They found that someone had used a backhoe to break through the bank's exterior wall into the ATM room. No injuries were reported and no one is in custody, police said.
Toronto police have arrested three people after a robbery investigation in Etobicoke resulted in a collision involving police vehicles and a suspect's vehicle. The collision happened around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday near Kipling Avenue and The Queensway, according to a social media post by Toronto Police Service. Police said they were investigating a robbery in the area at the time.
