Is 'De Winter' coming, like in Game of Thrones? "Yes, exactly." Do you freeze your opponents? "I'll try." What's changed in the last few games? "Nothing's changed. Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn't. For me, nothing's changed." Who is Allegri to you? "He's an important figure in my career, in my life, because, as you said, he gave me my debut. Now I have him as my coach at AC Milan, so he's an important figure for me."
Vuskovic was the man of the moment last weekend, his second-half header securing Hamburg an unlikely 2-2 draw and a first point against Bayern since 2014. Yet it was his maturity in dealing with Harry Kane at the back that caught the eye. "It's not just about winning headers and tackles or scoring goals: he's somebody who can organise a defence. Pau Cubarsi's ascent to prominence and integration as a regular in Barcelona's plans has gone somewhat under the radar because of Lamine Yamal's concurrent meteoric rise to superstardom. Despite being barely months older than his teammate, Cubarsi has not quite seen the same level of fame as Yamal has, and a lot has to do with the position he plays in. Yet, it is quite widely accepted and understood that the teenager is now the pillar of Barcelona's defence and his numbers only prove the same.
Arsenal legend Martin Keown has heaped praise onto summer signing Cristhian Mosquera after another strong display in the Gunners' defence. The talented young Spaniard joined from Valencia in the summer for just 13m, as reported by BBC Sport and others, and that now looks like an absolute bargain. There could be bigger tests to come for Mosquera, but for the time being he's settle in absolutely brilliantly, and ensured that Arsenal haven't missed William Saliba while he's been out injured.
