Onstein will join the Milan Futuro project and be available to play immediately for Massimo Oddo's team. The club remains interested in adding a senior defensive option this month, with new links to former captain Alessio Romagnoli, but that search is not complete. Onstein moved to Jong Genk from Ajax in 2023, and with his contract expiring next season Genk appear to have sold one of the most interesting prospects in Dutch football.
