"Juwensley stands out as a central defender for his speed and physical presence, combined with technical experience and good ball control,"
"He is not afraid to penetrate and play with space from the back. In short, he is a modern central defender who fits perfectly with Genk's footballing vision."
Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign Dutch defender Juwensley Onstein from Jong Genk in the January transfer window. The youngster has already undergone a medical and will sign a contract to join Barcelona Atletic, where he will link up with coach Julian Belletti and aim to impact the reserve team. Jong Genk technical coordinator Stijn Haeldermans praised Onstein's speed, physical presence, technical experience and ball control. Haeldermans said Onstein can penetrate and play from the back, describing him as a modern central defender aligned with Genk's footballing vision. Barcelona have also agreed deals for Patricio Pacifico and expect Hamza Abdelkarim to arrive soon.
