Symons has spent the past four seasons leading SMU's defense and agreed to a contract extension in December 2024, after helping the Mustangs reach the College Football Playoff. In 2024, he was a semifinalist for the Broyles Award, which goes to college football's top assistant, and was nominated for the honor in each of the last three years. That fall, SMU finished seventh nationally in defending the run and 10th in sacks.

He also served as Yale's head coach from 2009-2011. He resigned late in 2011 amid controversy after admitting he made a false claim that he had applied for a Rhodes scholarship and was a finalist while at Stanford.

His overall regular season and playoff record with at Minnesota was 31-23-22 (with postseason wins via a penalty shootout counting as draws). The Kansas City Current have agreed to terms to hire Chris Armas as the team's new head coach, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN. The hiring is still being finalized and pending the standard league clearance of all coaches, but is expected to be confirmed imminently, sources added. Armas, a former United States player and MLS champion, most recently coached the Colorado Rapids before he and the team parted ways after the 2025 season.

McKay has had an interesting career, oscillating between coaching and front office roles. He had been a coach in college ball for a number of years, before working for the Rockies in the minors as peak performance coordinator. Then he spent a long time working in the Mariners' player development department, getting hired in October of 2015. That was not long after Jerry Dipoto had become Seattle's general manager. Dipoto and McKay had worked together with the Rockies.

Over parts of nine seasons in the NHL, Konopka played 346 games for seven teams. He is the most recent player in league history to record more than 300 penalty minutes in a season, doing so in 2010-11 while with the New York Islanders. Konopka also played a total of 303 games in the AHL and was recently named part of the Syracuse Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2025 for his contributions to the Syracuse Crunch.
