Brian Hartline has been hired as the University of South Florida's seventh head football coach, replacing Alex Golesh who left for Auburn. Hartline joins from Ohio State, where he serves as offensive coordinator for the defending national champions that are 37-4 over the last three seasons and ranked No. 1 in the AP Top 25. Hartline played wide receiver at Ohio State and spent seven seasons in the NFL, including six with the Miami Dolphins. He will attend Ohio State's Big Ten Championship game before his USF introduction. Hartline emphasized pursuit of sustained championship excellence and called for fan and community support.
