A missing toddler was found in a Temecula pool Saturday evening, Sept. 27, and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead. Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies were called just before 5 p.m. to the 30000 block of Wellington Circle, near Calle Medusa, after a report of a missing 3-year-old-child. Deputies found the girl in a neighbor's pool and rendered medical aid until paramedics arrived and she was hospitalized,

I take full accountability as Trigg's mother, and I know I should have done more to protect him. One of the hardest lessons I carry is that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life, and it's something I will never overlook again. I hope amidst this pain, Trigg's story will help prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss.

According to Berkshire District Attorney Timothy J. Shugrue, at least three other children on the same field trip alerted a site supervisor that the Pittsfield student was unable to swim and had gone underwater.
