Two women topped American music charts simultaneously, marking a historic milestone for women in country music after nearly 70 years.
Songs streamed on YouTube will no longer count towards the Billboard charts, the platform announced in a blog yesterday (December 17). The change will take effect on January 16, 2026, according to Lyor Cohen, YouTube's global head of music. Cohen blamed a long-running dispute over Billboard 's decision to weight subscriber streams more favorably than ad-supported streams in its chart tallies.
Limp Bizkit put a chart-topping musician's name in the title of their new single, and it paid off with some chart-topping of their own. The nu-metal band's recently released song "Making Love to Morgan Wallen" has landed at No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts. According to , the single garnered 2.6 million US streams and 639,000 radio audience impressions, while selling 2,000 downloads in the week ending September 18th.
