Whether it's for wasting time or numbing travel headaches, bars and restaurants pouring booze are valuable oases in the airport ecosystem. But not all airports are equal when it comes to imbibing. Putting that in stark relief is a ranking from travel-finance site Upgraded Points, The Best U.S. Airports for a Boozy Layover, which gives top billing to the East Coast and trashes the Bay Area's Oakland airport.
The data used for the rankings comes from AirHelp's own databases, multiple vendors, governmental sources, and more than 13,500 passenger reviews across 58 countries. After crunching all the numbers, Cape Town International Airport (CPT) secured the top spot worldwide, with a score of 8.57 out of 10. Cape Town's leading position is underpinned by consistently strong showings across all core metrics. For example, the airport's on-time performance was rated 8.6, with customer experience slightly higher at 8.7.

Whether you're travelling within the city on the tube or bus, or leaving it altogether, you've got loads of options - and that includes when you're travelling by air. There are six major airports in London (or at least near enough to claim the capital in their names).
