Inside Ha's Snack Bar, a DIY-Filled Vietnamese Restaurant in Manhattan
Briefly

Anthony Ha and Sadie Mae Burns have transitioned from mobile pop-ups to their first permanent restaurant, Ha's Snack Bar, in Manhattan. This establishment highlights their unique blend of Vietnamese cuisine with French influences and a carefully curated ambiance. The couple designed the interior themselves, creating a cozy and homey atmosphere filled with personal touches, family heirlooms, and artwork. Although the original terracotta tile floors were inherited, they transformed existing furniture to fit their vision, including elevating tables for bar height dining.
"People keep telling us how cozy and homey it feels in here," says Sadie. "That why we're so glad that we took on the design element ourselves."
"It was pretty instinctual," Sadie says. "We were just collecting pieces and items and things that we fell in love with and then figuring out how to use them, essentially."
