Thousands of Ukrainian refugees have been housed in hotels as councils struggle to deal with a rising number becoming homeless.Nearly 3,000 Ukrainian households have presented themselves as homeless to English councils since the end of February 2022.And with renting privately becoming all but impossible and limited social housing available, many councils have had no choice but to place them in temporary accommodation when their Homes for Ukraine or family sponsorships break down.
