Father guilty of murdering brother-in-law and stabbing wife in Skye shooting spree
Briefly

Finlay MacDonald, 41, was found guilty of murdering his brother-in-law and attempting to kill three others during a violent rampage spurred by marital tensions and mental health concerns.
MacDonald, who stabbed his wife multiple times before killing his brother-in-law, insisted during the trial that he suffered from an abnormality of mind affecting his actions.
Despite MacDonald's claims of diminished responsibility, prosecutor Liam Ewing KC argued he was fully capable of controlling his actions throughout the deadly incident.
The judge explained to the jury that they could find MacDonald guilty of culpable homicide if they believed his defense of diminished responsibility.
