A security failure in a US Department of Transportation computer system used to reimburse federal employees for commuting costs has led to the exposure of personal info for some 237,000 current and former federal government employees.TRANServe, an electronic travel pass system managed by DoT, but carried by many employees across the federal government to encourage use of public transport, told Congress it made a mistake in protecting that data.
