Mirjana Pap, a 58-year-old mother of three originally from Croatia, was found dead in a bog after being reported missing for two days. Her son has been charged with her murder.
The court ordered Mr Pap to undergo medical and psychiatric attention while he is in custody, recognizing the necessity of support for his mental well-being during the legal proceedings.
Judge Patricia Cronin noted that homicide cases do not allow for bail in the District Court, requiring Mr Pap to appear via video link at a later court.
