The investigation led to the identification of 23-year-old Christopher Paez Jr. and 21-year-old Elijah Birba as suspects in the case.
Both men were taken into custody without incident Tuesday, confirmed Antioch police Lt. Desmond Bittner in a news release.
The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office filed murder charges against Paez and Birba, according to online court records.
They are set to be arraigned Tuesday, with both being held at the Martinez Detention Facility on $1 million bail.
