Bronx detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Jessica Hoyle, who was found dead in her home on the evening of April 1. Police discovered her with a gunshot wound to the head after responding to a 911 call. The motive remains unclear, and authorities have made no arrests yet. This incident is particularly alarming as it follows another unrelated shooting earlier the same day, reflecting a worrying trend in the area with crime rates showing increases in homicides and shootings compared to the previous year.
Police said Jessica Hoyle, 31, was found fatally shot inside her home on the 3400 block of Mickle Avenue off Boston Road in Williamsbridge.
The motive for the shooting also remains unknown, police sources reported Wednesday morning.
So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.
Tuesday night's deadly shooting occurred hours after a 27-year-old man was gunned down during a chase near the Bronx Zoo in an unrelated case.
