UENOA Architects have transformed the entrance of an 80-year-old building in Sendagaya by adding Fil Cream, a take-out ice cream shop. The design features a fan-shaped floor plan that effectively separates the pedestrian flow entering the office space from the customers of the shop. Notable elements include a curved wall with custom green tiles that harmonize with the building's original yellow tiles, creating a visual dialogue. The repurposing of stairs into seating enhances accessibility and engagement, ensuring the shop connects well with its urban surroundings.
